Fall Wreaths

I had so much fun doing fall wreaths. It was sooooo great to be working with these colors. Here's a couple pics. One during and one after. Enjoy! :)

Fight like a girl

I was fortunate enough to be invited to my first scrapbooking crop in Iowa. Called "Fight Like a Girl." to raise money for breast cancer. I knew I was going to have fun. I really didn’t know what to expect. As I walked into the room I involuntarily gulped. I saw the room full of people. They were all working on great projects. I thought wow I am in way over my head here.
I got to my group and was immediately set at ease. The gals were so friendly. I saw across the room one of my mom’s good friends Sharon. She’s such a gem. I was glad to see someone else I knew. Across the table from me was my new friend Jana (Who invited me). I settled into my spot and got to work.
I was amazed at how fast time flew by before I knew it was lunch time. Lunch was great never mind the fact I couldn’t figure out why the texture of my meat and cheese roll was so goofy. After careful investigation, I find paper still between the slices of cheese.lol ha ha

They had some really fun games. One of them was called Hooters. Once you finished a scrapbook page you yelled “hooters.” And a friendly owl would sit by you. If you had the owl when one of the leaders called out for it you would win a prize. Guess who won a prize? Me!!! YAY! Everyone loves winning prizes right?
There was another contest where people could enter a page about themselves or a loved one that battled cancer. Later in the evening they shared about their pages. Talk about tear jerking. I think everyone in the room had a hard time not getting choked up. It was really inspirational to listen to them. I totally respect them for sharing.

By the time the night was winding down I couldn’t believe how much time had passed. I had such an amazing time. The people were so wonderful. I had finished 4 layouts which was not too shabby. ;0 ) I totally didn’t want to clean up but as they say all good things must come to an end. I totally can’t wait until next time.
